Quick Start

Preparation
  • 1 × supported OpenNextion ESP32-S3 smart display
  • 1 × USB data cable
  • 1 × Windows/Mac
  • 1 × MicroSD Card (Optional, for saving scan data.)

Before starting, ensure the USB cable supports data transfer and maintain a stable connection between the board and your computer.

Flashing the Firmware
  1. Click Flash Online at the top of the page.
  2. Select the OpenNextion device model you are using.
  3. Choose the corresponding serial port when prompted in the browser.
  4. Wait for erasing, writing, and verification to complete. Do not unplug the USB cable during this process.

After successful flashing, the board will automatically restart and boot into ESP32 Marauder.

Menu Navigation

The screen is divided into three touch areas (upper, middle, lower) by dividing lines. The operation methods are as follows:

  • Tap the upper area: move the selection upward.
  • Tap the middle area: confirm/enter.
  • Tap the lower area: move the selection downward.

The original ESP32 Marauder supports multiple ESP32 devices, but OpenNexion screens require specific hardware adaptation. This project is specifically adapted for two OpenNexion screens (ONX3248G035 and ONX2432G028), allowing you to operate directly on the touchscreen.

Do I need to know programming to use it?

No. You just need to click the "Online Flashing" button at the top of the page to use it. Only if you want to modify the code yourself will you need to set up a development environment.

Can this tool be used to "hack" someone else's WiFi?

ESP32 Marauder is a security testing tool designed to help users understand and analyze their own network environment. Please use it only on networks and devices that you are authorized to test. Unauthorized use may violate laws and regulations.

What is the SD card used for?

The SD card is used to save scan data and captured packets. If you need to save analysis results, it is recommended to insert a MicroSD card.

Can it be used handheld?

The device can be used handheld. Simply connect an external lithium battery to the BAT interface to power the device, and then you can move it freely as a portable control terminal.

Do I need to print the enclosure myself?

The project author has designed a matching 3D-printed enclosure, which will be released for free on MakerWorld. If you don't have a 3D printer, you can use a third-party printing service, or simply use the bare board.
