Getting Started

Preparation

  • 1 × supported OpenNextion ESP32-S3 smart display
  • 1 × USB data cable
  • 1 × microSD Card
  • 1 × Speaker
  • 1 × Windows/Mac computer

Note: The ESP32 device provides a speaker interface, but the speaker module itself is not included and must be obtained separately. You may refer to the officially compatible accessories or use other compatible hardware.

Before starting, ensure the USB cable supports data transfer and maintain a stable connection between the board and your computer.

Flashing the Firmware

  1. Click Flash Online at the top of the page.
  2. Select the OpenNextion device model you are using.
  3. Choose the corresponding serial port when prompted in the browser.
  4. Wait for erasing, writing, and verification to complete. Do not unplug the USB cable during this process.

After successful flashing, the board will automatically restart.

Operating Instructions

Format the SD card to FAT32. Save the music files in the "music" folder under the root directory of the SD card. Connect the speaker and insert an SD card containing music files to play the audio from the SD card.
